Our Story
EARLY YEARS (2012 - 2017)
Hawaii Youth Rush started as a student-led literature evangelism initiative on Oʻahu, where young people distributed books, prayed with community members and gathered Bible-study contacts. Students witnessed firsthand the transformative impact of compassionate engagement.

After the 2017 season, the program paused—without activities or
outreach on the islands—leaving a void in youth summer evangelism.

In 2023, the Hawaii Conference’s Literature Ministries Director, Mario Bravo, was called to revive the program. The revival culminated in the rebranded “Ke Ola” Youth Rush—“the life”—signifying a fresh and vibrant beginning.

Our Mission
Education & Empowerment
Student literature evangelists earn financial support for their education, reinforcing stewardship and responsibility while engaging in real-world ministry.
Community Engagement
This program fosters meaningful connections between youth and the diverse communities across the Hawaiian Islands. By going door-to-door with uplifting literature and health-focused materials, students engage directly with residents, offering hope, support, and valuable resources.
